Assignment
#2: Silver Lake Wine Redesign Visual Design (200 points)
Objective:
Develop
basic file/folder management skills. Develop skills in the area of icon and
logo design, including tagline. Create usable web page layouts. Advance
Photoshop skills by creating complex and dynamic web graphics.
Assignment:
Using
Photoshop, redesign the homepage for silverlakewine.com. The redesign should
generally follow web layout conventions, such as: logo located in top left-hand
corner, navigation gives ÒfeedbackÓ to its visitor, left-hand or below header
location of navigation, etc. Layout should have a clear, logical and
appropriate visual hierarchy. Copy should be legible and when appropriate, use
web-based typefaces, such as: Verdana or Georgia. Web graphics should have an
emotional impact but remain usable and identifiable as to their function or
purpose, i.e., a header should look like a header, a button should look like a
button, a page title should look like a page title, content should look like
content, etc. Color should be used strategically to create harmony and unity.
